Teach for The Art Institute

I would point out that those places that “run” adjuncts into the ground are always looking for new people. I think the burnout rate has to be high. What angers me the most is their total lack of regard for the impact on the instructors they employ. I think it’s relatively easy to add more requirements, expectations, mandatory, etc., however, will the people carrying out those additional duties, be able to do so? The one thing brick and mortar institutions have is continuity within their ranks and a stable cadre of professionals.
Many online institutions seem to have a “fly by night” or “seat of your pants” attitude; why not hire individuals you plan to keep, pay them a decent wage, and not make the conditions so onerous, that they eventually leave?
